Your trip commences from the sacred city of Haridwar on the first day, with the destination being Joshimath, situated 256 km away. Enroute, you'll pass through the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, globally renowned for their spiritual significance. These cities attract people from around the world seeking a connection to spirituality and religious beliefs, offering various religious spots and cultural activities. Rishikesh, known as a hub for both religious and adventurous activities, presents opportunities for paragliding, bungee jumping, rafting, and more.
Despite the considerable distance covered on the first day, the journey is enriched with overwhelming sights, ensuring you don't feel exhausted. The route follows a river on one side, with each Prayag (confluence) of the Panchprayag revealing the merging of various rivers. The journey itself becomes a memorable experience, capturing moments for both your camera and heart.
As you travel through diverse locations on your way to Joshimath, the beauty of the surroundings will captivate you. The constant presence of the river by your side adds to the enchanting scenery. You won't even realize when you reach Joshimath, as the journey is filled with beautiful sights. Lunch will be served during the journey, and you'll stay overnight in Joshimath.
On the next day, your journey takes you towards Gulling Top, initially covering a distance of 12 km by taxi and then trekking approximately 6 km. Given the cold climate in Joshimath, ensure you bring warm clothing. The morning in Joshimath offers a serene and satisfying atmosphere, with snow-covered mountains surrounding you, creating a heavenly ambiance.
The trek commences from Dhak village, where you'll encounter the awe-inspiring Sleeping Lady Mountain, a natural wonder that appears intricately designed. Although the trek is relatively easier, it includes gentle ups and downs, with rough and non-green terrain. The Dhauli Ganga flows nearby, adding to the scenic beauty. As you progress, you'll reach Kharchi village, and along the way, you can replenish your water bottles from the flowing streams.
Continuing on the trek, you'll enter the Upper Tugasi region, characterized by wheat fields, flower beds, and more. Refreshing water streams will accompany you throughout. A steep ascent awaits, offering a splendid view of the Dronagiri peak. The surroundings transform into meadows, where you'll set up your tents and spend the night, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
On the third day, you'll embark on a trek to Tali Forest Camp, covering a distance of 4 km which may take approximately 5 hours. Beginning with an early morning and a delightful breakfast amidst the beautiful meadow, you'll set out for the trek through the Tali forests. This day's trek promises to be smoother and gentler compared to the previous one, ensuring an enjoyable experience.
As you walk, you'll be surrounded by various snow-covered peaks, and the landscape will feature walnut trees and diverse varieties of flora, including beautiful blooming flowers. The trek will lead you to a considerable height, with mountains adorned with thick snow and forests. Your overnight stay will be in tents, nestled between the mountains, creating an exciting and picturesque experience.
On the fourth day, you will embark on a trek to Kuari Pass, covering a distance of 15 km and taking approximately 11 hours. It is essential to start early to ensure timely arrival, and carrying an ample water supply is advised as there might be no water sources along the trek.
Given the length of the trek, taking short breaks in between is recommended. Lunch will be provided midway. It is strongly recommended to wear high-quality shoes to navigate various terrains without difficulty. Upon reaching the Kuari Pass peak, you will be treated to breathtaking views of several majestic peaks including Kedarnath Peak, Chaukhamba, Nanda Ghunti, Kalinka, Dronagiri, Hathi Parvat, Kamet, Mukut Parvat, and more.

On the fifth day, you will return to Joshimath via Gurson Bugyal before heading towards Auli, renowned for its skiing opportunities in the snow valley. The return journey to Joshimath involves crossing Gurson Bugyal, providing a relatively easy trek that can be enjoyed without much difficulty.
Upon reaching Auli, you'll be surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, offering the possibility of indulging in skiing if it is allowed during that time. Auli is a fantastic place to explore, with its scenic beauty and winter sports opportunities. Subsequently, you will return to Joshimath for an overnight stay, concluding your adventure in this picturesque region.
Finally, the day to end the beautiful trek. You will go back to Haridwar from Joshimath covering the same 256 km.

A: The average trek distance during the Kuari Pass Trek is 6-7 km and that too from easy to moderate level.
Q: Is it safe to bring our belongings on the trek?
A: It is safe and secure. But obviously, you must be aware all the time and always try to avoid bringing expensive materials on the trek.
Q: Will food be provided during the trek?
A: Yes if the trek goes long food is being provided during the trek. Otherwise, it is provided at the campsites or the place where we stay.
Q: What level of fitness is required to go on a trek?
A: You must be fit to climb. Although you will always get the necessary help, you must have optimum health to enjoy the trek to the fullest.
Q: Are medicines allowed during the trek?
A: Yes, of course. You can bring your prescribed medicines with you. It is always helpful for you to be healthy and fit during the trek.
